Account Executive, Business Development is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue. The role is primarily focused on selling new season seats, flex packs and group tickets through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and your own personal network. The ideal contact will have a minimum of two (2) years of outbound sales experience.


The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Prospect, engage and close new season seat sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing team revenue and prospecting goals
  • Responsible management of relationships with season seat holders 
  • Candidate will continue to strengthen and ensure frequent season seat holder interactions on an ongoing basis
  • This individual will be an important ambassador for the Club’s Business Development agenda. Candidate must be seen as a problem-solver who is consistently focused on possibilities vs. limitations, employing a positive, collaborative team approach to all internal and external relations
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Participate in various Ticketing team and community events as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales efforts as defined by the organization
  • Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in Tiger-Cats gameday experience; attend all Tiger-Cats home games and will also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this offer as assigned by the candidate’s direct report

Measurements of Success

  1. Achieved or surpassed individual and Ticketing team season seat revenue goals
  2. Establish a qualified prospect base through cold-calling, meetings and networking
  3. Actively participating in all ticket sales team meetings and events

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years applied sales experience 
  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, business, sports administration or other related discipline an asset


  • Will be required to work all home games, as well as weekends as required
  • Will be required to have access to a vehicle at all times

Summary: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for energetic, passionate and dedicated individuals who want to join our Customer Assistance Team (CAT Team) in one of our numerous exciting roles as the official game day ambassadors of Tiger-Cats Football. Those selected will join our team in creating a world-class guest experience at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, ON beginning with the 2014 CFL season.

Those selected for an interview will be considered in the following roles:

  • Ticket Takers
  • In-Bowl and Concourse Ushers
  • Guest Services Staff
  • Game Day Retail Staff
  • Parking Attendants
  • Facility Operations Team
  • Promotions Team

Ideal candidates possess:

  • Charismatic, high energy and a cheerful personality
  • A passion for football, the CFL, the Tiger-Cats, and the Hamilton community 
  • A commitment and desire to make a difference through world-class customer service for all guests in attendance
  • An ability to work well under pressure, remaining calm in all situations
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

CAT Team Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meet and greet all guests entering Tim Hortons Field with a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Be personal and pro-active in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of customer service and hospitality
  • Retain an extensive knowledge of the team, Tim Hortons Field layout, seating sections, key venue attractions, key team and venue personnel identity, and emergency activity procedures
  • Must possess strong communication and selling skills
  • Must possess basic math skills and money handling skills
  • Employees will be working in varying degrees of possibly inclement weather 


  • Staff must be at least 18 years old
  • Staff must be able to stand for 3 consecutive hours and lift up to 55 pounds
  • Staff will be required to work 90% of all Tiger-Cats events (includes playoff games, concerts)
  • Staff must comply with all Hamilton Tiger-Cats personal hygiene and grooming guidelines 

Tiger-Cats will provide staff with:

  • Pay Rate: Starting at $11
  • An opportunity to work additional concerts or other events at Tim Hortons Field
