 RYAN SHEAHAN

  Running Backs Coach

Ryan Sheahan joins the CFL coaching ranks in 2012 after spending the last few years as an assistant at Queen’s University.

In 2011, Sheahan was named the Assistant Offensive Coordinator at Queen’s, specializing with the quarterbacks.  In addition to his coaching role, he served as the team's video coordinator.  Previously Sheahan had worked exclusively with the Golden Gaels’ quarterbacks and played a key role in the development of Danny Brannagan, who would spend the 2010 season with the Toronto Argonauts.  Queen’s captured the 2009 Vanier Cup championship, with Brannagan taking MVP honours.

As a player, Sheahan spent four years (2000-04) at quarterback at Queen’s, sharing starting duties in 2004 while also contributing as the team’s kicker.   After his CIS career, Sheahan ventured to Denmark, where he served as a player/coach with the Esjberg Hurricanes in Denmark's semi-professional league.

Sheahan is the son of longtime CIS coach Pat Sheahan.
