Traded from the Edmonton Eskimos on February 27, 2013 along with Edmonton’s second-round pick (15th overall) in the 2013 CFL Draft in exchange for Hamilton’s second-round pick (10th overall) and a third-round pick (24th overall) in 2013.
2014: Played four regular season games in his second season with the Tiger-Cats before suffering a season ending lower body injury…had one defensive tackle and one special teams tackle.
2013: Played all 18 regular season in his rookie season after being traded by Edmonton on February 27…registered 13 tackles, three pass knockdowns, one special teams tackles and a quarterback sack in his rookie season…made CFL debut vs. Toronto on June 28…recorded first career tackle on July 21 vs. Saskatchewan…registered first career sack vs. Montreal in the NAPA Touchdown Atlantic on September 21. Playoffs: Played in all three of the Tiger-Cats playoff games, including their Grey Cup loss to Saskatchewan…had one tackle in the playoffs.
2012: Selected in the fifth round (36th overall) by the Edmonton Eskimos in the 2012 CFL Draft.
Played one season (2012) at Wake Forest after transferring from Akron (2008-11)...finished NCAA career with 129.5 defensive tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss and eight quarterback sacks…recorded 21.5 defensive tackles (15 solo, 13 assisted), 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries and two pass knockdowns in 2012.
Attended Pickering High School in Pickering, Ontario, where he won city championships before enrolling at Cegep Vanier College in Montreal, Quebec…played for the OVFL’s Toronto Thunder, where he set the club’s record for sacks in a season and was named OVFL defensive line MVP…graduated from Akron in 2011 and went onto pursue his Masters in Religion at Wake Forest…name pronounced ‘ha-SAHN huh-ZEE-me’.
