Be there when music and football collide at Hamilton’s biggest sporting event of the year
Get ready for a game day experience like no other! The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are thrilled to elevate the excitement for the city’s biggest event, the Labour Day Classic, with an exciting lineup of musical entertainment presented by WeatherTech that will keep the energy going from pregame until after the final whistle.
Fans attending the annual rivalry game between the Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts on September 2 will also be treated to a day full of musical acts at Tim Hortons Field.
Following a memorable performance at last year’s Labour Day Classic, the world’s greatest cover band Dwayne Gretzky is back with their can’t-miss live music experience to perform at halftime in addition to a special, hour-long postgame concert. Since the band’s inception in 2011, Dwayne Gretzky has developed a fervent fan base across Canada on the strength of their live show – performing classic songs with faithful precision in packed venues and major festivals.
As fans gear up for the big game, Hamilton party band Born in the Eighties will rock The Stipley, the official pregame gathering spot for all fans located on the south plaza. Born in the Eighties, who performed during the 2023 Grey Cup Festival, brings the best of ’80s dance party hits with memorable ’90s pop, rap and R&B classics. Armed with their keytar, drum machine and an extensive song library, Born In The Eighties will have the crowd fired up before the game kicks off.
There will be something at Tim Hortons Field for all musical tastes, as the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra will bring their renowned musical artistry to the event when they perform the national anthem while DJ Prod Beenie will energize fans with a mix of beats and crowd-pleasers in the Coors Original Bar, positioned on the level 2 concourse behind section 112.
Don’t miss out on this action-packed day of football and music! Tickets to the Labour Day Classic are now on sale.
