BeFIT Is Back For 2025 Season

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and FirstOntario Credit Union are proud to team up to bring the BeFit program back for the 2025 season.

The initiative, which launched in 2010, aims to educate youth in Hamilton and the surrounding regions on the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle. Throughout 2025, Ticats players and Dance and Cheer Team members will visit local schools and share their experiences to educate the students.

“We’re thrilled to announce the return of the BeFit program for a 14th season in 2025,” said Courtney Stephen, Sr. Director of Marketing and Community Partnerships of Hamilton Sports Group. “Giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do, and our players always embrace the opportunity to share their experiences and educate local youth on the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle.”

Each season, the program features BeFit Day at Hamilton Stadium, where hundreds of elementary school students are brought together to learn about the importance of physical activity and healthy food choices. The event features activities and education stations led by Ticats players, Dance and Cheer Team members, Stripes and FirstOntario. More details on the 2025 BeFit Day will be provided in the near future.

“FirstOntario is proud to once again partner with the Ticats on this year’s BeFit event. This program showcases our continued support of youth in our communities, in a way that promotes health, wellness and fitness,” said Joanne Battaglia, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Communications & Community Partnerships. “This is a great opportunity for young people to have fun while learning more about the benefits of physical activity; and hopefully encourages them to make fitness an integral part of their daily lives. As a bonus, the kids get to meet some of their favourite players.”
