The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the football club has signed American linebacker Chris Russell Jr.
Russell, 23, played five seasons at Texas A&M, recording 112 tackles (59 solo), 10 tackles for loss, 4.5 quarterback sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one blocked kick in 58 games with the Aggies.
After concluding his NCAA career, the 6-1, 235-pound native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, spent time with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers and UFL’s Memphis Showboats.
