
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American tight end Camren McDonald, American quarterback Tyler Huff, American receiver Tre’Shaun Harrison, and American offensive lineman Grant Starck, the football club announced today.
McDonald, 25, returns to Hamilton after catching two passes for 11 yards in his first CFL season in 2024. Before originally signing with the Ticats on May 7, 2024, the 6-4, 245-pound native of Long Beach, California spent time with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers following a five-year NCAA career at Florida State (2018-22). He played 58 caught 74 receptions for 861 yards and five touchdowns in 58 games with the Seminoles.
Harrison, 24, joins the Ticats after stints with NFL’s Tennessee Titans (2023-24) and the UFL’s Arlington Renegades (2025). Before turning pro, the 5-1, 188-pound native of Seattle, Washington played three years at Oregon State (2020-22) and two years at Florida state (2018-19). In 52 career NCAA games, Harrison caught 127 passes for 1,502 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was named All-Pac-12 Honourable Mention in his senior season at OSU.
Huff, 24, was named the Conference USA Most Valuable Player and Newcomer of the Year last year after completing 178 of 293 pass attempts (60.8%) for 2,543 passing yards and 14 touchdowns while running for 1,344 yards and 15 touchdowns at Jacksonville State. The 6-1, 215-pound native of Orange Park, Florida previously suited up for one season at Furman University, where he was named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, and three seasons at Presbyterian.
Starck, 23, played in 24 games over the last two seasons at Oregon State (2023-24). Prior to suiting up with the Beavers, the 6-5, 295-pound native of Springfield, Oregon played 22 games in three seasons at Nevada.
The Ticats also announced that the team has released National defensive back Nic Cross and National fullback Felix Garand-Gauthier.
