Stipley Stage Returns To Hamilton Stadium With Exciting New “Battle of the Bands” Competition

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are thrilled to announce the return of the Stipley Stage, the live music cornerstone of the Stipley Experience at Hamilton Stadium, for the 2025 Canadian Football League season. New this year is the Stipley Stage Battle of the Bands, an initiative designed to celebrate and elevate emerging Canadian musical talent at the city’s premier sports and entertainment venue.

Launched as part of the enhanced Stipley Experience in 2024, the Stipley Stage delivers high-energy, pre-game and halftime performances in an open, 18,000-square-foot social space that is free to enter for all fans in attendance. Home to pre-game happy hour specials and bold Hamilton-themed design elements, including twin 20-foot hammers and the iconic steam whistle, the Stipley Fan Zone has quickly become a must-visit hub for game day excitement.

“The Stipley Experience reflects our commitment to providing a best-in-class live event experience,” said Matt Afinec, President and COO of Hamilton Sports Group. “We’re proud to offer a space where fans can connect, celebrate Hamilton pride, and enjoy top-tier entertainment.”

This season, the Battle of the Bands will showcase musical acts from Hamilton and surrounding regions, each performing live during a Tiger-Cats home game. Bands will compete throughout the season, with fans voting to determine the ultimate winner. The champion will receive a grand prize package to support the next steps in their musical journey.
