Seven Tiger-Cats Named to TSN Top 50 CFL Players List for 2025

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have made a strong impression heading into the 2025 CFL season, with seven players named to TSN’s annual Top 50 players list, tying them with the Edmonton Elks for the most selections by any team. This recognition underscores the depth and talent across the Ticats’ roster as they aim to contend for the Grey Cup.

Leading the way for the Tiger-Cats is veteran quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, ranked at No. 3, the highest-ranked quarterback on the list. After an injury-shortened 2023 season, Mitchell rebounded in 2024, completing 420 of 614 pass attempts (68.4%) for 5,451 yards with 32 passing touchdowns and 18 interceptions. These statistics not only set new franchise records for passing yards and completions but also earned him East Division and league-wide All-CFL honours.

Wide receivers Kenny Lawler (No. 14) and Tim White (No. 20) also made the list, reflecting their significant contributions to Hamilton’s offensive unit. Lawler, a CFL All-Star and two-time CFL West All-Star, is recognized for his reliable hands and route-running abilities. White, a three-time CFL All-Star, brings versatility and precise route-running, making him a consistent threat in the passing game.

On the offensive line, Brandon Revenberg earns the No. 35 spot. A reliable presence on offense, the four-time CFL All-Star’s protection has been instrumental in both the passing and running games.

Defensively, lineman Casey Sayles is ranked No. 36. In the 2024 season, Sayles led the team in sacks (seven), while adding 37 defensive tackles and three pass knockdowns.

DaShaun Amos (No. 47) and Jamal Peters (No. 49) have been acknowledged for their coverage and defensive skills, solidifying the back end of Hamilton’s defense.

The inclusion of these seven players in TSN’s Top 50 list underscores the Tiger-Cats’ balanced roster and their potential to be formidable contenders in the upcoming season. As the team prepares for the start of the season on Saturday, the blend of veteran leadership and emerging talent positions Hamilton as a team to watch in 2025.
