The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today the team has signed American receiver Kyrese Rowan and American defensive tackle De’Jon Benton.
Rowan, 25, most recently spent time with the Denver Broncos in 2025, appearing in two preseason games and recording four receptions for 33 yards and one touchdown. The 5-10, 175-pound native of Ogden, Utah, played at Utah State (2022–24), where he registered 47 receptions for 534 yards and three touchdowns over 13 games. Prior to that, Rowan spent three seasons at Utah (2019–21), appearing primarily on special teams in 17 games, recording four tackles (three solo).
Benton, 25, most recently played at Hawaii in 2025, appearing in 12 games with 12 starts, recording 33 total tackles (21 solo), 9.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and one forced fumble. The 6-2, 270-pound native of Pittsburg, California, previously spent five seasons at the University of South Carolina (2019–23), appearing in 34 games and registering 32 total tackles (17 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
