Seven Tiger-Cats Earn Spots on TSN’s Top 50 CFL Players List

As the Hamilton Tiger-Cats prepare to kick off the 2026 CFL season Thursday night at Hamilton Stadium, seven members of the Black and Gold have been recognized among the league’s elite.

TSN unveiled its annual Top 50 CFL Players rankings this week, with the Tiger-Cats placing seven players on the list, tied for the second-most of any CFL team heading into the new season.

Leading the way for Hamilton is quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, who earned the No. 2 ranking overall after another outstanding campaign in 2025. The veteran pivot led the CFL in passing yards and touchdowns last season while guiding the Tiger-Cats to the Eastern Final.

Receiver Kenny Lawler checks in right behind Mitchell at No. 3 overall. After a dominant 2025 season that saw him finish among the league leaders in receiving yards and touchdowns, Lawler enters 2026 as one of the CFL’s premier offensive playmakers.

The Tiger-Cats’ defence is also well represented on the list. Linebacker Wynton McManis was ranked No. 18, while defensive lineman Julian Howsare landed at No. 20 following another productive season in the trenches.

Defensive back Stavros Katsantonis was recognized at No. 27, offensive lineman Brandon Revenberg came in at No. 28, and defensive back Jamal Peters rounded out Hamilton’s representatives at No. 32.
