Stipley Stage Battle of the Bands is a new initiative designed to highlight and promote Canadian musical talent from the greater Hamilton area and across Southern Ontario. We are currently accepting applications from all artists who would like to participate for a chance to perform live. After our panel reviews all the applications sent in, each selected band will be given the opportunity to perform at a Hamilton Tiger-Cats home game during the 2025 CFL Season. Fan voting across the season will determine who wins the battle, and the winner will receive a Grand Prize to help them pursue their music career.

1. Eligibility Requirements

• All applicants must be Canadian musicians.
• Bands must have a minimum of one original song.
• Bands must be available to perform at one Hamilton Tiger-Cats home game during the 2025 CFL season.

2. Submission Process

• Bands must complete the official online application form on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats website.
• Required submission materials:
  • Band bio (brief description of the band, members, and musical style)
  • Audio sample (link to an original song or performance)
  • Social media details (links to active band pages)
• Application deadline: April 30, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.

3. Selection Process

• Hamilton Sports Group Partnership will review all applications and select bands for participation.
• The final winner will be determined by fan voting, with a popular vote deciding the champion.
• Winning band will be announced at the end of the season.

4. Performance Details

• Each selected band will perform a minimum 75-minute set before kickoff on the Stipley Stage.
• Bands must bring their own equipment. A basic PA system will be provided.
• There are no restrictions on song selection, but all content must be suitable for a family-friendly audience.

5. Prizing & Incentives

• Grand Prize (Season Winner):
  • $5,000 cash prize
  • Social media promotion and in-game exposure
  • End-of-season announcement recognizing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
• All participating bands will be paid for their performance and receive Hamilton Tiger-Cats merchandise.

6. Additional Information

• Bands must comply with all stadium rules and regulations.
• Selected bands will receive further details on logistics and setup upon confirmation of their performance date.
• The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Hamilton Sports Group reserve the right to make final decisions regarding participation.
