Dane Vandernat was named Director of Pro Scouting for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on January 10, 2025.

Vandernat spent the previous five years with the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, serving as Director of Player Personnel from 2021 to 2023 and Director of College Recruiting from 2019 to 2021.

The Kansas City, Missouri native began his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders in 2008 as a training camp intern in the Internet department. He then completed a salary cap and agent administration internship with the NFLPA before rejoining the Raiders as a football operations intern. In 2009, he became a Player Personnel Assistant, was promoted to Pro Scout in 2011, and advanced to Director of Pro Personnel in 2015, a role he held until 2018. In that position, Vandernat oversaw daily operations, collaborated with the general manager, and evaluated players.

Vandernat earned his bachelor’s degree in history from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a master’s degree in sport management from the University of San Francisco.
