Glen Young
Defensive Line Coach
Glen Young was named the Defensive Line Coach on February 1, 2024.
Young most recently served on Ryan Dinwiddie’s staff in Toronto (2020-21) as the defensive coordinator before joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for the 2024 season. Before joining the Argos, Young previously served on Mike O’Shea’s staff in Winnipeg (2016-19), holding the Linebackers Coach and Defensive Line Coach positions. His defensive line, which included Willie Jefferson, Jackson Jeffcoat, Jake Thomas and more, helped Winnipeg capture the Grey Cup in 2019.
In his four seasons in Winnipeg he helped coach his linebackers and defensive lineman to two divisional all-star selections including Adam Bighill (2018) and Willie Jefferson (2019).
Before joining the coaching ranks, the Scarborough, Ontario native enjoyed a 13-year playing career, with stops in the National Football League with the Los Angeles Raiders and San Diego Chargers before heading north of the border where he spent time with the Toronto and Edmonton. The 6-3, 250-pound former linebacker was originally selected by the Tiger-Cats in the third round, 22nd overall, of the 1992 CFL Draft.
