Receivers Coach
Naaman Roosevelt was named the Receivers Coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on February 1, 2024, after being an Offensive Assistant with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
In his first season coaching receivers in Hamilton, Roosevelt’s group enjoyed a successful season, with Tim White and Steven Dunbar both eclipsing the 1,000-yard receiving mark and finishing third and fourth respectively amongst the league’s leaders. Both White and Dunbar earned East Division All-CFL recognition for their efforts while White was also earned his third-career All-CFL honours. Shemar Bridges and Kiondre Smith also finished the season with 933 receiving yards, with Bridges earning his first career East Division All-CFL honours and the East Division nomination for Most Outstanding rookie after his debut season.
The Buffalo, New York native joined the coaching ranks in 2023 as an Offensive Assistant with the Saskatchewan Roughriders after a successful playing career
The 6-0, 189-pound Wide Receiver played 12 seasons split between the NFL and CFL with the Buffalo Bills (2010-12, ’14), Cleveland Browns (2013), Detroit Lions (2014), Saskatchewan Roughriders (2015-19), Montreal Alouettes (2020) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2021).
Throughout his four seasons in the CFL, Roosevelt suited up in 58 games with the Roughriders (2016-2019), registering 276 receptions for 3,646 yards with 15 touchdowns. He was named the Riders’ most outstanding player in 2016 and earned West Division All-Star honours in 2017.
