Scott Milanovich
Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator
Milanovich was promoted to Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator on December 6, 2023, becoming the 27th Head Coach in Tiger-Cats History. Heading into the 2024 season, he holds a 43-47 all-time record as a head coach in the CFL.
Most recently, Milanovich served as the Senior Assistant Coach for the Ticats during the 2023 season and took over offensive play calling duties in August after a 3-6 start to the season. Under Milanovich, the team’s offence improved, and he helped guide the team to its fifth consecutive playoff appearance.
The Butler, Pennsylvania native brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Tiger-Cats, including five seasons as a Head Coach with the Toronto Argonauts (2012-16) where he won a Grey Cup in 2012 and was named the CFL’s Coach of the Year that same season. Before joining the Argonauts, Milanovich held various roles with the Montreal Alouettes over five seasons (2007-11) where he won two Grey Cups (‘09, ’10) as the club’s Assistant Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator. His CFL coaching experience also includes stops in Edmonton (2020) as the club’s Head Coach and as the Quarterbacks Coach with the Calgary Stampeders (2003).
Throughout his time in the Canadian Football League, Milanovich has helped shape the careers of numerous legendary players including Hall of Famers Anthony Calvillo, Ricky Ray, Ben Cahoon, Chad Owens and S.J. Green. Milanovich also coached the likes of Trevor Harris, Zach Collaros, Jamel Richardson, Andrew Hawkins, Cody Fajardo and DeVier Posey.
During his time in Toronto, Milanovich coached alongside current Tiger-Cats President of Football Operations Orlondo Steinauer and coached defensive back Brandon Isaac who is the current defensive backs coach for the Tiger-Cats.
Prior to transitioning to the coaching ranks, the 6-3, 227-pound Quarterback played four seasons with the Buccaneers (1996-1999), one season with the Berlin Thunder (2000), one season with the Los Angeles Xtreme (2001), one season wit the Tampa Bay Storm (2002), and one season with the Calgary Stampeders (2003). Milanovich became an XFL champion in 2001 with the Los Angeles Xtreme.
