Scott Shannon joined the Hamilton Tiger‑Cats as Head Athletic Therapist in 2025, covering for Claire Toffelmire during her maternity leave.

Before the Ticats, Shannon served as Head Athletic Therapist for the Ottawa REDBLACKS during the 2024 CFL season . Prior to his time in the CFL, he was the Head Athletic Therapist for the Toronto Arrows Rugby team from 2020 to 2023 .

Shannon spent 16 years in athletic therapy with the Toronto Blue Jays, serving as Minor League Athletic Therapist (1987–1998), Assistant Athletic Therapist (1998–2000), and Head Athletic Therapist (1999–2003). He also spent seven years with the Toronto Argonauts, serving as Assistant Athletic Therapist (2011–2014) and Head Athletic Therapist (2014–2018).

He received a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University and a Certificate in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College.
