CAREER
2024-2025: Blue Bombers
Wheatfall signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in January 2024 and made an immediate impact in his CFL debut, recording three catches for 111 yards — including a 76-yard reception — against the Ottawa Redblacks. After suffering a hamstring injury in his second game that sidelined him for much of the season, he returned to the lineup for the final stretch of the year and scored his first CFL touchdown on a 61-yard pass from Zach Collaros against the Edmonton Elks.
He finished the 2024 season with 13 receptions for 273 yards and one touchdown in seven starts, while also dressing for the Western Final and 111th Grey Cup. He became a free agent in February 2026.
COLLEGE
2019-2021: Fresno State
Wheatfall transferred to California State University, Fresno in 2019 and joined the Bulldogs football team. He played in 28 games from 2019 to 2021 where he had 78 receptions for 1,286 yards and six touchdowns.
2017-2018: Blinn College
Wheatfall first played college football for the Blinn College Buccaneers in 2017 where he recorded 25 receptions for 375 yards and one touchdown. In 2018, he had 47 catches for 798 yards and six touchdowns.
