The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Tuesday the football club has signed two international players, including wide receiver Josh Crockett (pictured) and defensive back Kyle Gibson.
Crockett, 24, signed with the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent and spent the 2018 season on the team’s practice roster. The 6-4, 195-pound native of Bristow, Oklahoma played in 44 games over four seasons (2014-17) at the University of Central Oklahoma, recording 129 receptions for 2,003 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns, while adding four carries for 69 yards and a rushing touchdown. Crockett also posted 1,043 yards on 47 kick returns for the Bronchos.
Gibson, 23, attended rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens earlier this month. The 6-0, 184-pound native of Tampa, Florida played in 47 games over four seasons (2015-18) at the University of Central Florida, registering 203 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks, 12 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and five interceptions for the Knights.
